Youth Art and Music/Dance Programs

RAW Haiti’s youth development coaches work weekly at our Cite Soleil site on Saturday mornings providing children with a class of each English, art, and dance. Each class provides a variety of lessons, for example vocabulary, bracelet making, and learning choreography. Not only do the youths learn about being a positive citizen, those behaviors are practiced within all RAW Haiti programs. All youth are required to work together and be peaceful to take part in activities. The focus to empower these children through building a stronger respect of self and community.

Programs encourage children to be creative and challenge their perspectives. In Haiti, music, art, and dance are not only expressive outlets, but they also provide skills for potential employment or business in the future. Our coaches foster an entrepreneurial spirit with our students as well as supporting them to start developing professional skills.
