English Classes

The English program at Cite Soleil Haiti teaches 50 children that focus on writing and reading English once a week. Snacks and water are provided for the children during class. American volunteers with RAW Haiti help at times with English competitions, allowing youth to practice what they know in a fun and encouraging setting. Learning English provides Haitian youth with an opportunity to become marketable in many service industry jobs in Haiti. Knowing English can dramatically change a child’s life as he or she pursues career opportunities or entrance into universities.
